Well Diamond Wire Saws announces the development of a high-speed endless wire saw. Based on the same diamond-impregnated wire technology as its alternative machines, the new saw incorporates an exclusive welding process to create an endless wire loop of defined length and different diameters that rotate in one direction only.

Positioning the wire

Mounting the wire is a quick and easy operation. The new wire is first placed on the upper pulley and then around the lower pulley. The pulley guards secure the work place. The control lever activates the upper pulley and places the wire under tension. After filling the recycling bin, the machine is ready for use.

Automation and developments

An automatic electric feed may be offered. Developments are underway for automatable models. This endless diamond wire saw can be easily associated with a robot.

Murg 394

The high-speed continuous loop diamond wire saw.

The MURG 394 wire saw is the first version of the series of endless wire saws (loop) that meets these requirements. It is a simple model, for manual use. The machine has a support table and a moving table.
All materials can be cut (glass, ceramics, crystals, printed circuits, metals, plastics…)
The wire used has a diameter of 0.5mm (the cutting line is also 0.5mm). The grain size is D64. The length of the loop is 2.2m. The speed of rotation is 20m/s. All moving parts are protected from splashing.
The diamond wire in operation does not present a risk to the operator. Unexpected contact with the wire is not dangerous.
The saw has a protected aluminium base and a PVC fairing for better sound insulation.
The saw includes a cooling and cleaning tank (with switch and mini level sensor with machine stop). The work table is illuminated.

Markets for this high-speed cutting technology include virtually all materials in any production, research and development or in-process quality control environment.
