Diamond wire saws produce a cut that leaves virtually any material with smooth, sharp, burr-free surfaces. The cutting tool used is a stainless steel wire in which are crimped real synthetic diamonds (no boron nitride). We are the only ones on the market to offer you a wire that produces such a pure cut. This patented coating process provides maximum cutting capacity and long wire life. The wire is wound on a drum mounted on a precision reciprocating motor. Depending on the size of the saw models, the length of the wires varies from 10 to 40 meters. Wire diameters range from 0.10 mm to 0.70 mm (other sizes on request). All WELL saws work by gravity and/or use a weight system as a method to achieve and maintain a constant feed rate. In addition, all our saws have a continuous adjustment of the speed of the diamond wire. The speed of the wire is variable. However, it should not exceed 2.5m/s to avoid any heating of the sample to be analyzed. Absolutely no cutting fluid is necessary but we strongly recommend that our cutting fluid be used to clean the wire. The force applied to the samples to be cut is minimal, so that no heating is noticeable.
